ABOUT EMDR THERAPY TRAINING AUSTRALIA

EMDR Therapy Training Australia was founded in 2025 by Sarah Schubert and Logan Harvey.

At EMDR Therapy Training Australia we aim to bring together clinicians, to connect and learn, develop, and to grow in confidence and competence as we work together in the field of helping others heal from the impact of trauma.  Sarah and Logan recognise the burden of trauma across the world and teach with the belief that every human, of any age has the innate capacity to heal, grow, connect, and develop if the right healing space is created with them.

EMDR Therapy Training Australia strives to offer training in evidenced-based trauma therapy, to maintain standards of clinical care, and to assist others in keeping up to date with the fast-moving empirical knowledge in the field of trauma treatment.   Sarah and Logan value learning, understanding, and teaching about human suffering and healing from foundational theory, clarity in case conceptualisation, to the practicalities of clinical work with various presentations and clinical populations across the life span.

EMDR Therapy Training - Dr Sarah Schubert and Logan Harvey

At EMDR Therapy Training Australia we aim to not only teach EMDR Therapy to clinicians, but to work with them in small groups collaboratively so that they can see their own capacity and wisdom to hold others in a compassionate space to heal. Through teaching with authenticity, congruency, openness, and compassion, our hope is that other therapists can embody these qualities in their work.

We recognise that alone we cannot resolve the global burden of trauma, but through teaching others, who will in turn teach and share that knowledge with others, we can together learn to heal those in need, who can then, through a ripple effect, heal others they connect with! The power of healing is created through learning in safe and trusted connection.
